The Acquisitions Management Module allows publishers to easily manage the conceptualization process of publication projects. Unlike many other editorial systems that pick up after a publication project has already been accepted and contracted, eEditorial Discovery integrates the full project conceptualization process. In lieu of a publisher having to have publication proposals submitted via e-mail or some other archaic process, all proposals, book, journal, or any other publication type, can be submitted through the system through a web form.

Proposals
General Users (authors and editors) are able to submit project proposals through a web form, and save and edit it at any time. Publishers are able to access submitted proposals, filtering by different customizable criteria, comment on the proposal and upload any supporting documentation, and then send decisions to the authors/editors. Proposal information is all stored in the system so that it can be easily utilize in issuing the contract agreement if accepted and to carry through with the publication throughout the development process.
Custom Workflows & API Integrations
If the provided workflow is not conducive to a publisher’s needs then they can take advantage of custom workflows that can be adapted to suit their specific acquisitions workflow, whether that includes additional communication tracking, integrating sales reports for market analysis, integrating additional imprints or divisions of the publishing house, or a multitude of other options.
Custom Forms
If the provided proposal form templates are not conducive to a publisher’s needs then they can take advantage of the custom form application to create custom forms that can cater to a variety of publication project proposal types.
Dashboards
Upon login dashboards can be viewed to review status updates on project proposals under consideration. Dashboards can be customized to present critical status information that the publisher’s commissioning or acquisitions team needs to facilitate project approval.
